Western Australia |
|
Geography: Four-fifths of the state is sparsely
populated semi-arid or desert territory. However, the south west of
the state is temperate and is largely an agricultural region concentrated
mainly on wheat, barley and sheep products. Arguably, the 12,000 km
coast of W.A. is the single most important reason for the holiday maker to
visit this state. |

Attractions: The Indian Ocean provides the
visitor with a wealth of marine life to observe including magnificent,
vivid coloured coral, tropical fish, whale sharks, turtles, Manta rays and
Dugongs large marine mammals). Scuba diving, snorkelling, Sea
kayaking, swimming, sailing, fishing and wind surfing are all popular
activities along the Coral coast and Perth. What better way to commune with nature than exploring the Australian outback. There are plenty of places to stay from camping in a tent to a relatively luxurious stop at El Questro Wilderness park. The holidaymaker will be able to see all sorts of wildlife, including crocodiles, other reptiles, snakes and kangaroos. On the coast sea birds nest on off-shore islands, emus can be seen inland and parrots inhabit city and suburban trees. |
